Chao has a master’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and has extensive expertise in food industry compliance, specializing in infant formula and FSMP (Food for Special Medical Purposes) registration in China. He has contributed to dozens of registrations for infant formula and FSMP, ensuring regulatory compliance; participated in the research project on the National Health Food Raw Material Catalog and the review of multiple dietary supplements in the United States; undertaken food safety sampling and monitoring system development and published multiple papers in food safety research.
