Jong Han is the Team Leader at the Natural Product Efficacy Research Institute of Korea Ginseng Corporation (KGC), where he leads research on the efficacy and functional benefits of red ginseng. With over 20 years of experience in natural product research, he specialises in functional food validation and regulatory affairs. Before joining KGC in 2012, he worked in the natural product industry, focusing on the development of bioactive ingredients. He holds a Master’s degree in Agriculture and Life Sciences from Chungnam National University in Korea. Kim has contributed to the scientific validation of red ginseng in areas such as prostate health (Red Ginseng Oil) and blood glucose regulation, earning industry recognition, including the ‘Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Technology Award’ (Minister’s Award). At KGC, he continues to drive innovation in natural health products, ensuring they meet rigorous efficacy and safety standards while advancing global research in functional food science.
