Michelle joined Mintel in 2016 with over eight years of experience in the food and nutrition industry. Equipped with a wealth of food science and nutrition knowledge, she is currently an Associate Director, Food Science, Asia Pacific at Mintel, specialising in food science and ingredients. Her role entails researching, analysing and providing thought leading insights on key market developments, industry trends and happenings, and latest consumer demands across multiple food and drink categories, including food ingredients, health, as well as vitamin and supplements. She is also responsible for managing the India Food and Drink analyst team, helping direct, shape, coach, and review the consumer report content. Additionally, Michelle represents Mintel as an industry expert at tradeshows, conferences, and with the press. Before joining Mintel, she spent most of her career in nutrition and dietetics, concentrating on food service, clinical nutrition, health and wellness programme management, and nutrition research. She has also worked as a nutritionist at Compass Group; a science research analyst at Food and Nutrition Research Institute in the Philippines, and as a therapeutic dietician in a premier hospital in the Philippines. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University Of Santo Tomas Philippines and a candidate of Masters of Business Administration at Murdoch University. She is also a licensed Nutritionist – Dietitian in the Philippines and an Accredited Nutritionist in Singapore
