Nashmil is the Head of Applied Nutrition at Nestlé, overseeing global research and development initiatives in nutrition as part of the company’s Nutrition and Health strategy. She establishes scientific principles and methodologies to guide product innovation and assess the nutritional and sensory properties of products. With over 15 years of experience as a Clinical Pathobiologist, Nashmil has worked across the biotechnology and food industries, covering the full translational pathway from bench to clinic. She holds a PhD from the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto. Before joining Nestlé in 2012, she worked in academia and the biomedical industry, focusing on cancer diagnostics, small molecule drug discovery, and clinical therapeutics.
