Philip manages the Yili Innovation Center Oceania in New Zealand. Following the completion of his PhD (Microbiology) in 2002, he has worked across the Probiotic and Dairy Industries with a particular focus on functional foods. The Center forms part of Yili’s global strategy to access international expertise through open innovation, looking to improve both the Science behind Yili’s product offerings and build internal capability to further enhance the Company’s success. Food safety is a key area of focus and Philip is the current Chairperson for the New Zealand Food Safety Science and Research Center Industry Advisory Group.
